IBM opens new IT Service Command Centers in Mexico



IBM opens two Command Centers for the delivery of technological infrastructure services in the country.


The two IBM Command Centers will allow the clients to transform their business model allowing them to focus in their business activity.

MEXICO CITY, June 7th, 2012.- IBM (NYSE: IBM) opened today two Command Centers for IT services located within its facilities in Mexico City in order to attend better the growing needs of the clients in Maintenance, Technical Support and infrastructure strategic Outsourcing. IBM Mexico plans to invest around US$5 million in both command centers, which will allow satisfying in a better way the growing requirements for services for clients in key industries as retail, distribution, banking, among many other industries in the development markets.

According to Select (a Mexican IT Consultancy) numbers, the IT industry will grow 7% in 2012 in Mexico, a little more than twice the growth of the GDP estimated for the country during the same period.

IBM will provide the first Command Center, customized services to get valuable information that allows an effective decision-making process for the business operations of the clients. Through predictive analytics and a highly trained team of professionals, the clients will be able to anticipate to failures or potential risks in the IT infrastructure, assuring the continuity of the business and giving a fast response to the activities demanded by their competitors in the market.

The second Command Center will be focused in attending the IT infrastructure operation needs of the clients, constantly easing the maintenance and technical support services through reports via Help Desk. With this Command Center, IBM will have more capacity in support services for: data capturing devices, wireless networks, IP telephony systems, software platform and applications.

Both Command Centers for IT services will allow IBM to offer a full portfolio of services that attends the needs of the clients locally.

“IBM technological experience and its capacities through these 2 command centers will allow our users to increase their operations efficiency and focus on the key points for their business”, said Francisco Marcondes, Manager of Technology Global Services for IBM Mexico.

The Growth Markets Unit, which includes Mexico, represented 22% of IBM total revenues during 2011 and intends to contribute with 30% from here to 2015. .

IBM inaugura nuevos Centros de Comando de servicios de TI en México



IBM hace la apertura de dos Centros de Comando para la entrega de servicios de infraestructura tecnológica en el país.
Los 2 Centros de Comando de IBM permitirán a los clientes transformar su modelo de negocios y permitiendo foco en su actividad empresarial.



MÉXICO, D.F., 7 de junio de 2012.- IBM (NYSE: IBM) inauguró hoy 2 nuevos Centros de Comando para servicios de Tecnologías de Información (TI) ubicados dentro de sus instalaciones en la Ciudad de México, con el objetivo de atender de mejor manera las crecientes necesidades de los clientes en servicios de Mantenimiento, Soporte Técnico y Outsourcing Estratégico de infraestructura. IBM México planea invertir aproximadamente 5 millones de dólares (USD) en ambos centros de comando, lo que permitirá satisfacer de mejor manera los crecientes requerimientos de servicios para clientes en industrias clave como retail, distribución, banca, entre otras industrias de los mercados en desarrollo.

Según cifras de Select, la industria de TI  en México crecerá un 7% durante 2012, un poco más del doble al crecimiento del PIB (Producto Interno Bruto) estimado del país durante el mismo periodo.

IBM, brindará en el primer Centro de Comando, servicios personalizados para obtener información valiosa que permita un proceso de toma de decisiones efectiva para las operaciones de negocio de los clientes. A través de analítica predictiva y un equipo de profesionales altamente capacitados, los clientes se podrán anticipar ante fallas o riesgos potenciales en la infraestructura de TI, asegurando la continuidad del negocio y dando una respuesta rápida a las actividades que se exigen frente a su competencia en el mercado.
El segundo Centro de Comando, estará enfocado en atender las necesidades de operación de la infraestructura de TI de los clientes, facilitando constantemente servicios de mantenimiento y soporte técnico a través de reportes vía Help Desk. Con este Centro de Comando, IBM tendrá mayor capacidad en servicios de soporte para: dispositivos de captura de datos, redes inalámbricas, sistemas de telefonía IP, plataforma de software y aplicaciones.

Ambos Centros de Comando de servicios de TI, permitirán a IBM ofrecer un portafolio completo de servicios que atienda las necesidades de los clientes localmente.

“La experiencia tecnológica de IBM y sus capacidades a través de estos 2 centros de comando, permitirán a nuestros clientes incrementar su eficiencia en operación y enfocarse en los puntos clave de sus negocios”, comentó Francisco Marcondes, Director de Servicios Globales de Tecnología de IBM en México.

La región de Mercados en Crecimiento de IBM (o Growth Markets Unit por sus siglas en inglés), la cual incluye a México, representó el 22% de los ingresos totales de IBM durante 2011 y pretende contribuir con el 30% de aquí a 2015.
